Description
An essential ingredient in Japanese cuisine, wasabi is still little known. For example, few people know that it is a semi-aquatic plant, a cousin of horseradish and mustard (Brassicaceae family), whose stem is used in the form of a paste that is seasoned to produce the famous condiment.
Grown at the foot of Mt. Amagi on the Izu Peninsula (southwest of Tokyo), this wasabi is genuine and guaranteed free of horseradish, making it an exceptional product on the market. Combining freshness and spiciness, it is the subtle expression of a terroir with a strong character.
How to use:
Real grated wasabi is an ideal condiment for raw fish and red meat, replacing mustard. Forget the habit of mixing it with soy sauce: it’s vulgar and above all distorts its unique taste. On the other hand, it can be used to spice up a vinaigrette or as a base for the most indecent sorbet.
Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place, away from light and refrigerate after opening.

Wasabi (40%), sorbitol, dietary fiber, starch, salt, water, cyclodextrin, flavorings, vegetable oil (soy), acidifier (E330), spices, colorant (E102, E133).
