Description
White Ponzu may well surprise you! Sennari offers a fine catalog of vinegars and other sauces. Specialized in rice fermentation, it has been in business since 1927. Thanks to its careful selection of quality local raw materials and its exceptional water source, Sennari offers top-quality products. The magic of acetic fermentation is their specialty, and it works brilliantly in this remarkable shio ponzu.
Unlike classic ponzu, shio ponzu contains no soy sauce. This makes it lighter, less salty, a fresher condiment that reveals heady flavors. Sennari’s white ponzu recipe combines the brand’s signature organic rice vinegar, kombu (seaweed) broth, organic yuzu juice and sudashi juice. These ingredients are sourced from farmers who care for the land and harvest only the best fruits. Organic yuzu is grown in Kochi Prefecture, specifically in the village of Kitagawa. Sudachi is a specialty of Tokushima Prefecture. These are regions on the island of Shikoku where Sennari is located.
The flavors developed by this white ponzu are balanced between the refreshing acidity of citrus and the pure umami of kombu.
This sauce comes in a 360ml bottle. Produced without additives or preservatives, it relies on the mastery of fermentation and the fantastic action of bacteria.
