Our shochu with the richest flavor and silkiest texture. Octopus shochu is bottled without reduction, i.e. without adding water to reduce its alcohol content: it is brut de fût or genshu in Japanese. We love its length and strength without violence. Exclusive to our store!
Like all shochu, Octopus can be diluted with sparkling water to make a refreshing cocktail called a “highball”, which is very popular in Japan. It can also be enjoyed on the rocks, or diluted with hot water (about 60°C) in cold weather. Another cross recommended by purists: extend Octopus with green or red tea, hot or cold, to emphasize its sweetness.
