Description
When it comes to the products you ask us for most often, ramen comes top, but nori seaweed crisps are not far behind. After months of research, we’re proud to bring you these Nori seaweed crisps flavoured with Japanese ume plum. They’re delicious, of course: fragrant, toasted, with just the right amount of salt… Warning: the forty leaves disappear very quickly after opening.
These crisps come from a company specialising in nori called Isoya. They are made from seaweed grown in the Ariake Sea, in the very south of Japan. The waters of this small inland sea are known for their low salinity and one of the highest tidal ranges in the world, with a difference of around six metres between high and low tide. These are ideal conditions for the seaweed to absorb high levels of nutrients and low levels of salt, resulting in melt-in-the-mouth leaves with a delicate flavour.
How to use:
As a snack, or as an aperitif, as they are delicious with a very dry sake. They can also be cooked: they are delicious with white rice and cucumber, for example.
