Who hasn’t dreamed of adding nori flakes to their life? That’s the promise of a product so simple, you’d think there was a bit of witchcraft involved. But no witchcraft arond these parts: it is only the talent of the Marutaka company, founded in Hiroshima in 1964.
Freshly harvested nori seaweed is carefully rinsed in fresh water, then slowly dried, grilled (yaki in Japanese), and finally crumbled. That’s it!
The result is a high quality product that can be sprinkled anywhere to add crunch and a subtle iodized flavor. Even better, it’s free of additives and preservatives.
Use:
These toasted nori crumbs sublimate all kinds of dishes, from rice to eggs, fish, salads, broths, and why not yogurt? Incorporated into cookie dough, they add an original iodized touch. They’re also the ideal topping for your soba, udon and chirashi.
